Friends of Baylor Campus Cats

Trap-Neuter-Return (TNR) is a humane approach to managing and
reducing feral and stray cat populations. Feral/stray cats typically
live together in a group called a colony. They are trapped by
community members and brought to a veterinary clinic where
they are spayed or neutered, vaccinated, and then have one of
their ears clipped. This ear-tipping is a humane practice that is
a visual cue that the cat has been spayed or neutered, and
vaccinated, which can prevent unnecessary future trapping and
euthanasia. After they recover from their surgeries, the cats are
returned back to their original territory. This helps stabilize cat
populations, improve their health, and reduce the number of
homeless cats in the community.
